There are some potential risks/complications associated with this procedure.The main potential complications include:

  • Uveitis – inflammation inside the eye
  • Retinal Detachment – retina pulls away from the back of the eye
  • Cystoid Macular Oedema – swelling at the back of the eye
  • Macular Hole – hole in the retina at the back of the eye
  • Lens subluxation – displacement of the lens within the eye
  • Cracked Lens

You shouldn’t experience any discomfort following your laser treatment. You may, however, get a headache. Simply take your common pain relieving tablets. Be sure not to exceed the recommended dose. The doctor treating you will discuss the purchase of new glasses following your laser treatment on an individual basis.
